After touring Dambulla arrive in Sigiriya to spend the day at rest.
Ascend the steps of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress to start the second day. You will be encircled by rocky terrain some of which have frescoes that date back many years. Constructed two millennia ago, this granite fortress remains one of Sri Lanka’s most formidable sites. At the summit you can take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. See the sights of Kandy, stopping at the Matale Alu Viharaya Temple along the way. Get to Kandy in time to take in a traditional dance.
For morning blessings go to the Temple of the Tooth Relic in the morning. Discover the city and its old and new structures. As you travel to Colombo make time to visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens and take in the stunning greenery and vibrant flowers.
